Forensic examinations:

IPS examiners have extensive law enforcement backgrounds. With an understanding of the criminal justice system gained by years of police and government investigative experience we can assist in identifying issues that can be verified as truthful or deceptive. Whether performed for a police agency or a private attorney, polygraphs have proven to be a valuable tool in helping investigative agencies and prosecutors make informed case disposition decisions.

Attorney referrals

IPS conducts examinations at the request of attorneys to assist in the preparation of a criminal or civil case defense. IPS examiners are familiar with attorney client confidentiality protocols. Examinations are conducted under the lawyer/client umbrella of confidentiality with the attorney controlling the release of exam results.

Law Enforcement and Government Agency referrals

IPS administers polygraph exams as part of the investigative process to assist a variety of law enforcement and governmental agencies. Many agencies have found it economical and efficient to out source their polygraph exams. IPS will assist any law enforcement agency with priority testing. IPS examiners are familiar with Garrity warnings and will follow the policies and procedures used by the requesting agency. IPS accepts walk-in cases on a priority basis for law enforcement and will participate in competitive bidding in contracts. Testing may be done in our office or at the requesting agency.

Business Economic Loss exam per EPPA guidelines

A professional polygraph examination is a very valuable investigative tool and is used in on going investigations involving an economic loss. An employee theft polygraph examination may be requested by an employer in the course of an on-going internal investigation of a specific incident of economic loss to the company. The employer is responsible for some preliminary administrative requirements before and after a polygraph examination is requested.
